The Ms. Senior America Pageant is the world's first and foremost pageant to emphasize and give honor to women who have reached the "Age of Elegance." It is a search for the gracious lady who best exemplifies the dignity, maturity and inner beauty of all senior Americans. The Ms. Senior America philosophy is based upon the belief that seniors are the foundation of America, and our most valuable treasure. It is upon their knowledge, experience and resources that the younger generation has the opportunity to build a better society.

Gearing up for 2012

CHARM • DIGNITY • INNER BEAUTY • APPEARANCE • ATTITUDE
ACCOMPLISHMENTS • ENTHUSIASM • TALENT • GRACE • ENERGY

The judges at the annual Ms. Wisconsin Senior America Pageant select the gracious lady who best exemplifies the qualities of the modern dynamic senior woman. The Ms. Wisconsin Senior America Queen then goes on to represent Wisconsin in the National Senior America Pageant and she receives $2,000 generously donated by _____________________________________________________________________.

The contestants, women 60 years of age or older, are judged in 4 categories.

INTERVIEW
Earlier on the day of the pageant, the judges meet privately with each contestant for 5 minutes to gain insight to her personality, poise and ability to communicate. The purpose of the interview is to determine how well the contestant would represent Ms. Wisconsin Senior America with the public and the media.

EVENING GOWN PRESENTATION
The judges evaluate the poise, grace and appearance of each contestant. This is not a beauty or bathing suit contest; elegance is the key factor in this event.

PHILOSOPHY OF LIFE
Each contestant presents a brief statement of the philosophy that she uses in her approach to life.
The Philosophy Of Life Statement is limited to a maximum of 35 seconds.

TALENT
Each contestant is provided the opportunity to display her talent for the judges and the audience. The talent may be in music, the arts or any other activity appropriate for an elegant, senior woman. The Talent presentation is approximately 1 minute & 30 seconds.

Contestants who participate in the pageant find that it is a very special experience that enriches their lives. Our pageant is unique in that it opens the door to a "family" of warm, wonderful women who welcome the contestants into the Cameo Club where they form new, lasting friendships.

Miss Wisconsin wins title

Laura Kaeppeler, a 23-year-old beauty queen from Wisconsin, was crowned Miss America 2012 on Saturday after beating 52 other young women from across the United States. Her win marks the first time Miss Wisconsin has taken home the crown since 1972. Kaeppeler won a $50,000 scholarship and a yearlong run with the crown after answering a question about whether Miss America should declare her political affiliation by saying, "Miss America represents everyone ... Miss America represents all." Miss Oklahoma Betty Thompson came in second while Miss New York Kaitlyn Monte placed third.
